What is important when creating your digital marketing strategy?

The first step is to identify what the clients goals are. Is it to create brand awareness? Generate new leads? Or generate direct sales through an e-commerce site? We work closely with the client to ensure we achieve their long and short term goals.

For example, if a client wants to establish brand awareness, we might suggest a combination of YouTube advertising and CPM display advertising. If their goal is to generate online sales we may suggest a combination of Adwords, SEO and dynamic remarketing or Google shopping advertising.

One of the major benefits of using digital marketing over traditional marketing is that it is a lot easier to measure your return on investment. Also a small marketing budget on the right platform can yield a large return.

An exciting development in e-commerce marketing is the ability to run dynamic remarketing campaigns based on what a consumer had in their shopping basket but did not purchase. You can even offer a discount code in the remarketing advert to encourage the purchase; the conversion rates for these campaigns are particularly high.
